AA Gichathaini #049
Gitchathaini is one of three factories that form the Gikanda farmers cooperative society and is owned by the around 800 farmers who deliver cherries there.
With assistance from the Coffee Management Services they are working on improving yield and quality through farmer training.
Through this program they also get pre-financing that helps pay for school fees.
The Water used for fermenting and washing comes from the regatta river in gravity-fed water channels and is reused through the process to conserve water.
We chose to buy this coffee because we have always been a fan of the coffees from this area, and this one was super juicy and fresh! The floral notes are very prominent and the acidity is off the carts!
